The operating rate of acetic acid plants remained low, and inventory pressure at acetic acid enterprises was manageable. However, downstream demand weakened amid a decline in the sector, leading to sluggish market interest and a generally subdued trading atmosphere. The acetic acid market continued its downward trend. According to Chempricehub's analysis, the acetic acid market received a bearish score of -1.5. The price dropped by 200 yuan per ton to 3,900 yuan per ton, with low operating rates and manageable inventory pressure. Nevertheless, weakening downstream demand contributed to overall market sluggishness and a subdued trading environment, extending the downward trend. Supply-side constraints were limited, while weak demand dominated the market. It is expected that spot prices will remain under pressure in the short term, with bearish factors prevailing.
