Chempricehub, September 9 - Houston-based chemical company Ascend Performance Materials officially declared force majeure on its adipic acid products in August. The core reason for the production halt and capacity reduction was an interruption in the supply chain of the key raw material cyclohexane. The industry expects that supply from Ascend's adipic acid unit is expected to gradually return to normal by mid-September.
