On May 25, Yanzhou Coal Mining Group's methanol auction results: Yanzhou Guohong methanol was sold through competitive bidding, ultimately closing at 2,990 RMB/ton ex-plant on spot cash basis. The 640,000-ton/year coal-to-methanol plant is operating with dual furnaces. Yulin Yanzhou Coal Mining's methanol had a starting auction price of 2,670 RMB/ton, with a volume of 6,000 tons; most of the volume was closed at this price. The company's Phase I 600,000-ton/year methanol unit is operating normally, and the Phase II 800,000-ton/year methanol unit is expected to resume operations shortly.
