Published on 2026-02-03
According to a report by India's Business Standard, U.S. Trade Representative Greer recently stated that although India has made significant progress in curbing Russian oil imports, it still needs to further reduce its purchases of Russian oil in order to alleviate U.S. concerns and advance the implementation of a tariff reduction agreement. Greer emphasized that he maintains close communication with relevant Indian officials and that the cooperative relationship between the two sides is good, but India still has a long way to go in reducing its purchases of Russian oil.
