In East China, the mainstream spot offer range for xylene stands at RMB 5,800–5,850/mt, up by RMB 10/mt from the previous trading day. Both toluene and xylene spot prices edged up slightly, forming a narrow consolidation pattern overall. Overnight crude oil settled higher, and the aromatic market showed strength during the night session, providing some cost-side support and resulting in a slight improvement in market sentiment. However, domestic end-user demand remained subdued, with sectors such as coatings and fuel blending largely purchasing on an as-needed basis, leading to insufficient trading activity. On the supply side, conditions are relatively ample, and inventory pressure persists, capping further upside potential. In the short term, toluene and xylene are expected to maintain a range-bound, oscillating trend.
