The first phase of the 30,000-ton/year optical material project by Akeli is about to start trial production.

Published on 2025-12-30

On December 26, Acolite announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Acolite Technology (Qianjiang) Co., Ltd., has completed the construction and equipment installation and commissioning of its first phase project, which includes an annual production of 20,000 tons of polyether amine and 30,000 tons of optical materials (cycloolefin monomers and polymers). This includes 10,000 tons of polyether amine, 2,500 tons of polyether, and 2,500 tons of modified epoxy resin. Recently, the trial production plan for the first phase of the project was approved by an expert group and has officially entered the trial production stage. The completion of this project will further enrich the company's product range, enhance its core competitiveness, and strengthen its sustainable development capabilities. However, as the project is currently in the trial production phase, achieving full production capacity still requires time, and it may face challenges such as changes in the international environment, market demand fluctuations, raw material supply and price volatility.
