On September 16, the FOB Korea toluene price increased by USD 15/ton to USD 1,216/ton, while the FOB China toluene price rose by USD 14/ton to USD 1,211/ton.
In the Indian market, the spread between CFR India toluene and FOB Korea (USD basis) stood at USD 150/ton. The CFR India toluene price was quoted at USD 1,366/ton, up USD 15/ton from the previous trading day. Domestically in India, the ex-tank price in Kandla remained unchanged at INR 170/kg compared to the previous day.
Regarding plant operations, Lotte Chemical Corporation will shut down its BTX unit in Ulsan for scheduled maintenance starting October 10.
