September 1: Sinopec East China has cut its diethylene glycol (DEG) offers. Shanghai Petrochemical reduced its price by RMB 1,400/ton to RMB 10,000/ton, with the unit running at a low operating rate; Yangzi Petrochemical and BASF-YPC lowered theirs by RMB 1,000/ton to RMB 10,500/ton. BASF-YPC's 340,000 tons/year unit is currently operating at nearly 40% of capacity.
