On July 6, Sinopec East China implemented a price of 9,000 RMB/ton, Sinopec North China at 8,700 RMB/ton, Sinopec Central China at 8,700 RMB/ton, and Sinopec South China at 8,600 RMB/ton. Spot toluene and xylene saw slight increases, maintaining a narrow consolidation trend. Overnight crude oil closed higher, and aromatics strengthened in the night session, providing some support from the cost side, leading to a slight improvement in market sentiment. However, domestic end-user demand remained subdued, with sectors such as coatings and oil blending primarily purchasing on a need basis, resulting in insufficient trading activity. Supply remained relatively ample, with inventory pressure still present, limiting upward momentum. It is expected that toluene and xylene will continue to fluctuate within a range in the short term.
