On January 5th, the soda ash quotation in East China showed that the mainstream market price for light soda ash was approximately 1,120-1,560 RMB/ton, with a decrease of 20-40 RMB/ton on January 4th. The mainstream market price for heavy soda ash was around 1,170-1,300 RMB/ton, with a reduction of 30 RMB/ton on January 4th. Some soda ash production facilities have resumed operations, leading to a slight increase in the operating rate. Market inventory levels have shown an upward trend, while downstream procurement has followed demand-based patterns. Trading activity in the market remains subdued. In the short term, the soda ash market in East China is expected to maintain stable operations.
