According to a report from "Joy Online" on January 28, the Bank of Ghana's "Summary of Economic and Financial Data" released on January 27, 2026, revealed that the country's total export revenue for 2025 reached a historic high of $31.1 billion, a significant increase from $19.1 billion in 2024. Gold exports were particularly outstanding, with revenue surging from $10.3 billion in 2023 to $20 billion. Cocoa exports also saw substantial growth, rising from $1.9 billion to $3.8 billion. Industry observers noted that this growth is particularly remarkable, as international cocoa prices were on a downward trend during the same period. Due to the decline in international crude oil prices, petroleum export revenue fell from $3.8 billion to $2.6 billion, while other categories of goods contributed approximately $3.6 billion in exports.
