Using the Jiangsu region as a benchmark, the mainstream DOP price delivered was 10,300 yuan/ton today, in line with morning expectations. Raw material octanol prices declined, causing DOP market prices to continue sliding. Low-price offers were frequently heard in the afternoon, and transactions mainly occurred at lower levels. A wait-and-see sentiment persists among market participants, with inquiries largely driven by rigid demand.
DOP capacity utilization remained at 56%. Regarding profitability, phthalic anhydride prices fell, East China octanol prices declined, and DOP prices dropped, resulting in a profit margin of -125 yuan/ton.
Currently, negotiations based on rigid demand in the DOP market are concentrated in the low-price range. Downstream users remain generally unenthusiastic about buying, maintaining a cautious wait-and-see attitude. However, considering the approaching "Double Festival" holiday, DOP producers are prioritizing sales. It is expected that DOP market prices will continue to weaken slightly tomorrow.
Octanol Market: The center of gravity for the domestic octanol market moved downward today. Rigid demand purchasing activity was moderate, with downstream users primarily buying according to actual needs. The price center of key downstream plasticizer products also declined, keeping a strong wait-and-see atmosphere within the market. Spot supply from factories in East China remains tight, and their willingness to actively sell is average. Factories in Shandong are focusing on clearing inventory before the holiday.
