Chempricehub, May 25
Recently, the Dechang County Ecological Environment Bureau released the first public notice of the environmental impact assessment for Sichuan Haohong Xinrui Mining Co., Ltd.'s 180,000-ton-per-year fluorite powder project. The project covers a total area of 37,862.36 square meters and primarily includes production facilities such as magnetic separation workshops, flotation workshops, finished product warehouses, and raw material storage areas, along with supporting utilities and environmental protection facilities. It aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons of fluorite powder.
Chempricehub Analysis
Fluorite, Bullish/Bearish Rating: -1
If the newly announced 180,000-ton-per-year fluorite powder project in Sichuan is successfully implemented and put into operation, it will increase the anticipated supply in the domestic fluorite market, exerting bearish pressure on spot prices. However, as the project is currently in the initial stage of environmental impact assessment and has yet to actually release production capacity, the impact is limited.
Fluorite Ore, Bullish/Bearish Rating: 0.5
If the additional 180,000-ton-per-year fluorite powder production capacity materializes, it will drive increased demand for upstream fluorite ore raw materials, providing some positive support for fluorite ore prices. Given that the project is still in the environmental impact assessment phase, the release of demand will take some time, and the impact is relatively minor at this stage.
