On September 17, Sinopec East China lowered its diethylene glycol (DEG) price by RMB 900 per ton. Shanghai Petrochemical’s latest transaction price stands at RMB 8,500 per ton, with the plant operating at a low load. Yangzi Petrochemical and BASF-YPC Co., Ltd. are both quoting at RMB 8,600 per ton; the latter’s 340,000 tons/year unit is running at approximately 40% capacity utilization.
