Chempricehub Alert: Cryolite Exports Plummet by 45%
Published on 2026-03-24

March 24, Xinhua News Agency – According to data from the General Administration of Customs, China's cryolite exports in February 2026 amounted to 3,109.03 tons, a decrease of 2,545.27 tons from the previous month, representing a decline of 45.01%. From January to February, China's cumulative cryolite exports totaled 8,763.32 tons.

Chempricehub's analysis of cryolite indicates a bearish sentiment, with a rating of -1. The 45.01% month-on-month decline in cryolite exports in February suggests a significant weakening in international demand, which may lead to a relative increase in domestic supply and exert downward pressure on spot prices. The decline in exports reflects an imbalance in market supply and demand, and it is expected that spot prices will face pressure in the short term. However, further confirmation of the trend will require consideration of domestic production and inventory data. A rating of -1 indicates a generally bearish impact.
